VSWSA Special Operating Rules
1. No time limit
2. No ties- games are to be played until there is a winner or it is terminated by the Umpire.
3. International Tie Breaker Rule - may be used if both teams wish to practice its utilization.
4. Mercy Rule – when one team has 10 runs or greater after 4 ½ or 5 innings the game is over.
5. 8 Player Rule - A Regulation Game may be played with 8 players. A 9th player arriving late must bat in the 9th position. There is no automatic out when the unoccupied batter spot is reached. 8 Player Rule due to Ejection - An ejection reducing a team to 8 players is not forfeited and an automatic out is not recorded for the unoccupied batter spot.
